Vijay Devarakonda's Liger Movie box office collection, Movie Budget, Star Cast, Review, Flop or Hit

Finally, Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday starer Liger's Movie was released in the theater yesterday. The film gained majorly negative reviews on Social Media from fans and critics. However, box office numbers speak of something else. 

Liger is a 2022 Indian sports action film written and directed by Puri Jagannadh. Shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu languages, the film is produced by Dharma Productions and Puri Connects. Vijay Deverakonda stars as the titular MMA fighter boxer alongside Ananya Panday, Ramya Krishna, and Ronit Roy in pivotal roles. American boxer Mike Tyson plays an extended cameo, thus making his acting debut in Indian Cinema.

Liger received overwhelmingly negative reviews from critics. Neeta Nyayapati of the Times of India rated the film 2 out of 5 stars and wrote, "It's ironic that Liger is asked to focus multiple times in the film, but the script itself lacks the same focus".

Entertainment industry tracker Ramesh Bala tweeted the film's box-office day 1 collection and wrote 

"Liger packs a solid punch as Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday starer collects 33.12 crores gross worldwide. The mass entertainer helmed by acclaimed filmmaker Puri Jagannadh has opened up to a strong Day 1 number."    Liger was released on 25 August 2022 in Hindi and Telugu along with dubbed versions in Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. Earlier in January 2021, the film's release date of 9 September 2021 was announced. But due to production delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the film was postponed.

Liger Movie Digital Rights

The satellite rights of the film have been acquired by Star India Network while the digital rights for streaming have been acquired by Disney+Hotstar. The film was digitally streamed on Disney+Hotstraf from 22 September 2022 in Telugu and dubbed versions of Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages.
